How to repair different Pitched roofs; Clay, Slate, Wood, Asphalt Shingles, etc

Roofs are often expensive to install and the material itself is not cheap either, this is why most people go for the cheapest material, the Asphalt shingles and that decision comes to bite them. Roof damages do not only occur if you are not taking care of the roof, it significantly depends on the type of material being used, because some roofing materials are not the most up to par. However, that does not mean that good material can be neglected, sometimes damage just occurs due to bad situations, such as an ongoing storm that may dislodge something that is not fully fixed into the roof or the development of Moss, fungi, and Algae. Many times the shingles and tiles can be damaged by the heat of the sun. However, we will be going by Roof repairs in London Weather, which revolves around Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, and more Rain.

Types of Roof Damage and Repairs
1.       Wooden roofs
Wooden Tiles are normally installed for their aesthetic value and their beautiful outlook, however, that does not mean they are not one of the most easily damaged roofs. They can get damaged by Sun, Water, Wind, Algae, Moss and basically most things that roofs need to be resistant against, not to mention it is not fire resistant at all and actually is fuel for the fire. The roof repairs for a Wooden shake need to be carried out by professional r you may actually make it worse, unknowingly if you accidentally damage the other shakes.
2.       Clay Tiles
Clay tiles are extremely popular as they are the opposite of Wooden shakes and are highly resistant to water damage, fire damage, sun damage, etc. They are basically the Bruce Lee of the roof tiles. Although it’s not a roofing tiles job to protect the roof, it is the layer underneath, clay tiles get rid of most things that are threatening. They do get damaged however, they can dislodge if they are not properly fixed in and can cause a lot of harm. The tiles are some of the most resilient but they can fall and break if they are not fixed in properly and need to be replaced
3.       Slate
These are marketed as Environmentally friendly, however, they are not as Slate is procured from Quarries and due to them the Mountains are dying. On the other hand, they are good for the roofs because even though they are extremely heavy and need the roof to be restructured, they are fire resistant, water proof, Moss and Algae proof, etc. The flip side though, these are also very easily broken by Hail and that is something ever occurring in the UK, which makes them not the best. They are also extremely hard to replace and need professional help and even then they can be a problem.
4.       Asphalt Shingles
Asphalt shingles are cheap and convenient but they literally get damaged quite easily. They can get Algae and Moss, they are also prone to Heat and Sun Damage, however the roof repairs in London are easily found and cheap for Asphalt. Many roofing companies like three counties builder and the Royal Roofing provide you with quite good and cheap service for these.
